“The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” is one of China’s most beautiful and moving ancient folk love legends. It also symbolizes the modern-day longing for true love. The subtle relationship between Kang Qiao and Elaine Kang is often likened to that timeless tale, making it the perfect theme for their upcoming concert.
In the Malaysian Chinese pop music scene, Kang Qiao and Elaine Kang are widely recognized as the industry’s most beloved singing duo. Having shared the stage for more than four decades, they continue to captivate audiences with their enduring charm and stage presence wherever they perform.
Rising to fame in the 1980s, the pair quickly became idols among music lovers. With their handsome and beautiful appearances, remarkable chemistry, and captivating performances, they established themselves as one of the most admired duet partners in the industry.
Since the beginning of their careers, Kang Qiao and Elaine Kang have recorded numerous romantic duets. During their Life Records years, they released memorable songs including The End, You and Me, The Crescent Moon Shines Over Jiuzhou, and The Fragrance of Tea Sweetens the Heart. Later, under New Combination Records, they produced a series of touching duet albums featuring classics such as Lover’s Star, In the Rain, The Edge of the Sea and the End of the Earth, When I Miss You, How Can I Leave You, Bury Love Deep in My Heart, and Love That Topples a City. They also recorded the highly acclaimed Mountain Songs, Huangmei Opera & Folk Tunes Album, showcasing a rich variety of duet performances. The album received an enthusiastic response upon its release, and its timeless songs continue to be cherished by listeners today.
Over the years, the public has often wondered whether Kang Qiao and Elaine Kang were a real-life couple, and the media frequently raised the question during interviews because of their exceptional on-stage chemistry.
Although they have performed together on numerous occasions, Kang Qiao and Elaine Kang have never staged a full-scale concert together on an international platform. Fans have long hoped to see the legendary singing pair headline a concert of their own. That wish is finally coming true with the highly anticipated “The Cowherd & the Weaver Lady Concert 2026 – Kang Qiao & Elaine Kang,” organised by KXL Crossover, which will take place on 27 October at 6:00 p.m. at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting.

Ticket prices are subject to a RM6.00 processing fee per ticket and a RM10.00 transaction fee per transaction. (Exclude 8% SST).
1. Please present your ticket(s) to enter the venue. Each ticket admits one (1) individual only.
2. Each ticket is attached with a UNIQUE QR code (one-time use only) which will be scanned upon venue admission. Please refrain from posting your e-ticket(s) online or share it with others to prevent forgery.
3. A child at a height of 95cm or below is eligible for a child ticket at RM50.00 without seats, while a child at height above 95cm must purchase a ticket according to the selling price.
4. Tickets are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Tickets is subject to booking fee and transaction fee.
6. Once your transaction is completed and confirmed, no refunds or exchanges will be entertained.
7. The organizer or ticketing agent shall not be liable or responsible for any lost or stolen ticket.
8. The resale of ticket at the same or higher value of the initial purchase price is prohibited. Organizer reserves the right to cancel ticket that have not been purchased from www.etix.my.
9. The organizer reserves the right to deny admission and cancel any tickets which has breached the venue or ticketing T&C without any refund.
10. No smoking or vaping is allowed.
11. No pets allowed.
12. No photography, video or audio recording is allowed during the performance. Cameras, drones and audio/video recording devices of any kind are not allowed into the venue.
13. No weapon, sharp objects, explosive, toxic, flammable, narcotics, helmet or items that may cause potential safety hazard and disturbance to the event are allowed.
14. No live streaming is allowed.
15. No outside food or beverages are allowed.
16. No noisemakers, balloons, large signs (bigger than A4 size: 21.0 x 29.7 cm), large bags (bigger than 35cm x 20cm), selfie sticks, long umbrella, laser pointers or other items that would cause interference or disturbance to others individual or the event are allowed.
17. No unofficial show merchandise and light sticks are allowed.
18. The organizer reserves the right to carry out body and bag checks for security purposes upon entering the venue.
19. The organizer reserves the right to revise event time, venue layout and audience capacity without prior notice.
20. If an Event is being cancelled or postponed, or if the venue or content is significantly changed, we will do our best to inform all user. However, it is the responsibility of the user to keep themselves updated with the event information. The organizer and ticketing agent would not be held liable for any expenses you may incur in respect travel, accommodation, or otherwise arising from cancellation or postponement of an Event.
21. Wearing a face mask during the event is advisable for your own health concern.
